The Jetta Bora Volkswagen group is produced as a joint venture between FAW and Volkswagen. The vehicle got its name as City Jetta in the Canada market and as Bora in the other car markets.

According to the sources from VW, it is stated that this model is inspired by the Chinese lion dance and hence the rear side of the Bora is designed so as to resemble the lion dance.
The current generation Bora model is powered by the four cylinder gasoline engine and the engine is mated to the 6-speed automatic transmission. The base model of the Bora is called as Trendline. The wheel base of the present Bora is similar to the VW Lavida model.

The features in the Bora are included by considering the customers feedbacks and the model is included with the features like USB interface for MP3 players, wood appliances on the dashboard, air conditioning, navigation system and other safety features. Like the new Bora, the Lavida has been designed to be a life style oriented vehicle.

The present generation of this beautiful model is being offered in three different trim levels- Highline, Comfortline and Trendline. The expected sales rate of the present Bora is around 70,000 by the end of 2012.
