Engine
The 2009 VW Jetta is a four door sports wagon model powered by 2.5 liter I-engine that produces power up to 170 hp at an angular speed of 500 rpm and torque of 177 lb ft at an angular speed of 4250 rpm. The VW Jetta 2.5 liter engine has the maximum towing capacity of around 2000 lbs.
Options
The new sports wagon offers three different engines- VW Jetta 2.5 liter I-5 producing 170 hp, 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine and 2.0 liter turbo producing 200 hp. Among the three engines, the TDI engine can achieve maximum fuel economy.
All the Jetta models come equipped with the standard features like traction control, front side air bags, anti lock air bags and head/curtain air bags. The touch screen navigation system is offered as optional. The VW Jetta 2.5 liter has the payload capacity of 981 lbs and it is offered in front wheel drive.
Performance
With the powerful VW Jetta 2.5 liter I-5 engine, the sports car can achieve fuel economy of 21 miles per gallon in the city premises, while it can achieve 30 miles per gallon on the highway roads. The exterior dimensions of the vehicle include wheelbase of 101.5 inches, length of 179.3 inches, width of 70.1 inches and height of 59.2 inches.
