Engine & Performance

Similar to the current model, the next generation model will also come powered by a 2.5 liter I-5 engine that produces power up to 170 hp at an angular speed of 5700 rpm and torque of 177 lb ft at an angular speed of 4250 rpm. The new model will also be offered in four different trim versions, namely the base S, TDI, SE and SEL models.

The other engines that will be offered as optional include a 2.0 liter I-4 engine meant for TDI model. The expected fuel economy to be produced by the I-5 engine is 21 miles per gallon in the city premises, while it can achieve 30 miles per gallon on the highway roads, where as the TDI version is expected to achieve 31 and 40 miles per gallon in the city and on the highway respectively. This model will also be featured with all the safety as well as the entertainment features.
